Revd Jenny Mills to lead worship at Holymoorside URC

Revd Jenny Mills will be leading worship at Holymoorside United Reformed Church on Sunday 6th February 2022.  Holymoorside has extended an invitation to members of all the churches in the North Derbyshire Area to join them for this special service.  The service is at 10.30am and is followed by a buffet lunch.

Jenny is the United Reformed Church’s Secretary for Education and Learning.  She has oversight of a broad range of activities enabling lifelong learning for all God’s people through resources, opportunities and training.  These include Education for Ministry, the Church Leadership Programme, Discipleship Development and the URC’s Resource Centres for Learning (the training colleges).  Discipleship Development offers opportunities for everyone to learn, at their own level, speed and within their own capabilities.  Programmes include Stepwise, Lay Preaching training and training for elders.  There is also a Discipleship Development Fund offering grants.

Jenny is a minister of the United Reformed Church. She trained at Mansfield College Oxford and was minister of Newport Pagnell URC for 12 years and has also served on the Milton Keynes Mission Partnership, as one of East Midlands Synod’s Pastoral Consultants and Convenor of the Synod Children and Youth Committee.  Before training for the ministry she was a primary school teacher and retains her enthusiasm for work with children and young people.

      • Hello Helen, finding your name via the URC website enables me to get in touch. I’m going back two decades to our time in the RCC, Wirksworth. I want to thank you for making my last years at work so smooth and happy. I really appreciated all that you did, especially arranging an excellent preparation for retirement course, which was invaluable to me.
So thank you, Helen. I trust you and your husband are keeping well. God bless you both.
