The annual Schools Art Exhibition sponsored by Chesterfield Rotary Club and displayed in St Andrew’s church and hall was a success once again. Only 6 schools were able to present their pupils’ work this year but as always the standard was amazing! Work was on display by pupils from Year 8 right through to A level exam pieces. Every child whose work was displayed received a certificate from the Deputy Mayor. Three prizes were awarded for art work and one for photography. These will be presented at the children’s schools. The opening ceremony on Saturday morning was well attended by children, teachers, parents, grandparents and friends. Throughout the weekend children brought proud parents and grandparents to see their work. These pictures are just a few examples.
