Revs Ana and Tod Gobledale (pictured with members of the congregation) led a lively and interesting service for Commitment for Life on 5th October. We learnt about the ways discrimination, climate change and war lead to poverty and distress, especially for children and women, in Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. We heard stories of people helped by the grants made available through donations to Commitment for Life. As we held these communities before God in our prayers, praying especially for the people of Gaza, we were reminded that we must scatter the seed, not always knowing where it will fall, but God will bring the harvest.
