St Andrew’s is the Resource Church for the North Derbyshire Resource Area within the United Reformed Church East Midlands Synod. The Resource Area comprises 6 churches, St Andrew’s URC, Calow URC, Holymoorside URC, West Derbyshire URC in Wirksworth, Buxton URC and Fountain Square Tideswell URC-Methodist LEP. Lots of groups meet in the large church hall – badminton, Zumba, dancing for health, exercise for older people and various children’s groups
A Children and Youth Friendly Church
Children and young people play a full part in the life of the church. On Sunday mornings children spend part of their time in the church including at communion and part in their own group. We hold a monthly Messy Church on Monday evenings after school. We have two groups for parents/carers and babies and toddlers on Wednesday mornings and a full range of Scout groups – Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts on Friday evenings in term time

The St Andrew’s Christian Aid Afternoon Tea and the envelope collection raised £816. £505 of this is Gift Aided, giving a total of well over £900.
